How to create a HeyGen-ready business portrait
HeyGen is a separate product; this studio is not affiliated with it. These steps produce a clean, well-lit portrait that generally works well as a source image for photo avatar tools.
- 01
Shoot clean references
Take 3–5 selfies facing the camera, eyes open, neutral and smiling expressions, soft daylight, no sunglasses or heavy filters. Include one slightly turned left and right.
- 02
Pick the HeyGen look
In New headshot, choose Portrait 2:3 output, chest-up or half-body framing, plain warm white or blush backdrop and soft key light. Plain backgrounds are easiest for avatar tools to separate.
- 03
Keep hair natural
Leave hair on "Keep natural". Big hairstyle changes reduce identity consistency and look uncanny when animated.
- 04
Review for identity
Compare to your real face: eyes, teeth, ears, moles, jewelry. Regenerate or choose another variation if anything looks off.
- 05
Frame in the studio
Open the Brand studio, choose the HeyGen portrait (9:16) or landscape (16:9) preset, place your portrait with headroom and no text over the face.
- 06
Export & upload
Download as PNG at full resolution and upload to your avatar tool following its own consent and verification steps.
